Discovery Consultation Link Security Notice

Security notice for discovery video consultation, phone, payment, and scheduling links.

Last updated: June 20, 2026

Discovery links are intended only for the prospect and practice team involved in the request. Do not forward consultation, payment, or check-in links unless the practice specifically instructs you to do so.

Purpose

This Discovery Consultation Link Security Notice explains how to handle discovery portal links, including booking links, checkout links, confirmation links, and secure discovery video consultation links.

Discovery links may give access to scheduling details, a waiting room, payment status, or other prospect information. Treat them as private even when they are not a full patient portal login.

How To Protect Links

  • Use links only from the practice's official booking page, confirmation email, or other trusted practice communication.
  • Do not post, forward, screenshot, or share a secure join link with another person unless the practice authorizes it.
  • Open links on a private device and network when possible, and avoid joining from a shared or public computer.
  • Confirm the page appears to be part of the expected CaelaraHealth discovery workflow before entering information.
  • Close browser tabs after checkout or video check-in, especially on a shared device.

Identity And Access

  • A practice may revoke or replace a link if it appears misdirected, expired, copied, or misused.
  • The practice may ask you to confirm your name, email, phone number, or other non-sensitive details before admitting you to a waiting room.
  • A join link does not prove identity by itself and does not create patient portal access.
  • If an incorrect person joins with your link, the practice may end or reschedule the consultation.

Suspicious Links

If a link looks suspicious, asks for unexpected card details outside approved checkout, requests a password you did not create, or appears unrelated to your discovery consultation, do not use it. Contact the practice through a known contact path.

Never send passwords, full card numbers, medical records, urgent symptoms, or unrelated sensitive information in response to a discovery link or ordinary email.
